Ben Walther

Ben is a consultant at Cigital. Having worked in both areas of software security and quality assurance, he's now working to pull security into the test organization. He believes testers are best able to combine the devious "break it" mindset with thorough application knowledge to provide systematic security assurance.

Ben participates in OWASP, ASQ, and other software security and quality groups, occasionally taking the time to show off his favorite security testing techniques and tools.

At Cigital, he's assessed and tested various types of systems; web-based customer facing applications, bulk financial data processing systems, even slot machines.

Ben holds a B.S. in Information Science from Cornell University.
